Let’s be real—having a baby is beautiful… and also a little bananas. Whether you gave birth in a flash, after a long marathon, or via C-section, your body did something wild. And your baby? They just made the journey of a lifetime. That transition—from cozy womb to bright, noisy world—is a big deal for both of you.
Babies often carry tension from birth, even when things go smoothly. That tension can show up in so many ways—feeding challenges, trouble sleeping, constant fussiness, or difficulty settling. It’s not that something is “wrong,” it’s that their little bodies and nervous systems are working hard to adjust. At UPT, we offer gentle, baby-led infant bodywork to support that transition—helping babies feel more at ease in their bodies and parents feel more confident in the process.
Using approaches like craniosacral therapy, developmental positioning, and reflex integration, infant bodywork is a hands-on way to support regulation, comfort, and development. It can ease tension in the body that may be affecting feeding, sleep, digestion, or movement. You may notice your baby’s shoulders seem tight, their jaw doesn’t open well, or they always prefer one side—those are all clues that their nervous system might need a little help adjusting.
And no, it doesn’t mean anything is wrong with them—or with you. It just means they’re new, and they’re figuring things out. We help make that process a little smoother.
Whether your baby came into the world after a long labor, a fast delivery, or a surgical birth, early bodywork can help soften residual tension and support smoother transitions to life outside the womb. You don’t need to wait for things to feel really hard—sometimes, a little support early on makes all the difference.
